New product line “VSR WebGL Export” for new ways of communication
HANNOVER (Germany), November 29, 2011. – At EuroMold 2011, VSR (Virtual Shape Research GmbH) will introduce its new product line for data exchange and 3D communication. “VSR WebGL Export” is a new tool for the virtual development process that will be presented to the general public for the first time.
For product developers, the 3D process has come to be a matter of course, and electronic data exchange has become a standard for everybody involved in this process. The circle of those who actively participate, however, is broadening: the future user is being involved more and more early. Developments such as social media platforms have given the impetus to this. In our networked world, new ways of direct communication are therefore demanded. Data exchange must be in 3D and “barrier-free”. It must be possible to “experience” a concept, a design – for everybody and without obstacles.
To allow these challenges to be met, VSR is breaking new ground with “VSR WebGL Export”. Developed as a plug-in for Rhinoceros® 3D, this novel tool exports the data model to a format which can then be viewed on any other hardware. The data can simply be exported for subsequent use as Web content, or they can be sent straight to a particular addressee as an e-mail attachment.
The addressee can then access the data without having to install a software infrastructure, as required with other solutions. All that is needed on the target device is a state-of-the-art Web browser. Viewing 3D models thus becomes perfectly easy – and communication becomes much more effective.
“The current version is provided free of charge by VSR,” says Ingo Stadel, Principal Graphic Software Development Engineer. “We want a maximum number of users to benefit from this new technology.”
